Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Almonds – 250 grams (ground)
  • Fresh coconut – 2 (grated)
  • Milk – 1 glass
  • Sugar – 1 cup (or according to taste)
  • Cardamom powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Pistachio-cashew powder – 2 tablespoons (optional)
  • Desi ghee – 2 tablespoons

Easy method of making Almond-Coconut Barfi

1. Prepare coconut and almonds

  • Peel the coconut and grind it in a mixer.
  • Grind the almonds finely and keep aside.

2. Heat the syrup and milk

  • Make a thick syrup by adding sugar and some water in a pan.
  • Add cardamom powder to it.
  • Boil the milk separately and keep it warm.

3. Fry the almond-coconut mixture

  • Heat ghee in a pan and fry it by adding almond powder.
  • Now add grated coconut and pistachio cashew powder to it.
  • Add hot milk while roasting the mixture on low flame.
  • Cook the mixture till the milk dries up.

4. Add syrup and make barfi stylish

  • Now you can add the prepared syrup and mix it well.
  • Turn off the gas and spread the mixture on a greased plate.
  • Add dry fruits on top and press lightly.
  • Let it cool for 2 to 3 hours, and then cut and serve.
